I accidentally made a global change to my PC and now all application programs display the IE icon instead of the normal icon for the app.  Also the icons that appear on the bottom left side of task bar have disappeared.

Manually editing the Windows registry

• Click the Start button.

• Type "regedit" and hit ENTER.

• In the Save In list, select the folder where you want to save the Windows Operating System backup key.
• In the File Name box, type a name for your backup file, such as "Windows Operating System Backup".
• In the Export Range box, be sure that "Selected branch" is selected.

• The file is then saved with a .reg file extension.
• You now have a backup of your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION-related registry entry.

All my icons have changed to the same thing, I dont know how to fix it.
Ive downloaded AVG and it scans but still all the icons appear the same.
How do I fix this? This is Urgent thank you!
