How To Install Windows From A Partition Without Any External Media

Install Windows From A Partition Without Any External Media

Hey guys this post is really very useful for not only installing windows but many more system management. As you know to format or installing windows you need an external media like Disc Drive or USB Flash Drive. But now can do it with some simple step without any Disc or Flash Drive.

Requirement :
  •  A Windows CD for first time only(with which you want to format or install your OS)
  • EasyBCD Software(You can download free beta version of it from anywhere)
  • Free Hard Disk space depending upon the size of your installation disc(for example here we gonna show you this process with Windows 7 and 8. Generally the size of a Windows 7-8 installation Disc is about 4 GB. So here we need 5 GB of free space. Thats means 1 GB more space than the installation disc)

Method :
  1. Create a partition of about 5 GB. [As you can see in picture (Drive H:)]
    Blank Drive
  2. Now open and copy your Windows 8 installation disc into this drive.
    Copy OS
  3.  Now run EasyBCD and click on Add New Entry from the left side of the application.
    Add New Entry
  4. Now click on WinPE
    WinPE
  5. Now you have to path boot.wim file from the drive where youve copied your Installation Disc (Here Drive H:). To do this click on path(as you can see in pic) now open Drive H:, go to folder "sources and select the boot.wim file.
    Select Path
    boot.wim
  6. Now change the Entry name as Windows Installation or whatever you want.
    Entry Name
  7. Now click on Add Entry
    Add Entry
  8. Finish :).. Now restart your PC.. And After booting youll be asked for select Windows. Here click on Windows Installation(the Entry you have just created) to go to Windows Setup. And you can continue Windows Installation.

Note: You can view the Entry setting or change Start Up setting or time to select the default operating system. To do this follow the steps given below.

DURABLE! AFFORDABLE! ALUMINUM + UV POLYCARBONATE

Boot Windows 7 "mbr" or the bootloader windowssystem32winload.exe (without using windows 7 repair disk)

What if you install Second Windows 7 as Secondary OS and you have an error:

      Windows Boot Manager
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
      1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
      2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
      3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance
      File: Windowssystem32winload.exe
      Status: 0xc000000e
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt
      Alternative error messages:

Another common way to troubleshoot this error is to search for “Missing or corrupt winload.exe“.

This error happens when Windows’ BOOTMGR tries to load the BootBCD registry (master boot record), but it’s either corrupted or has a bad configuration. At this step the boot loading process simply stops and the status code appears.

Windows Setup CD/DVD Required!  (if you do not have one scroll down to option two)
Some of the solutions below require the use of the Microsoft Windows setup CD or DVD. If your PC did not come with a Windows installation disc or if you no longer have your Windows setup media, you can use Easy Recovery Essentials for Windows instead. EasyRE will automatically find and fix many problems, and can also be used to solve this problem with the directions below.

Fix #a: Rebuild the BCD with Bootrec.exe

BCD stands for Boot Configuration Data, contains boot configurations options and controls how your Windows is started.

Bootrec.exe is a tool built in the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) that can repair boot configuration data and master boot records. You can access Bootrec.exe using a Windows installation disc.

Insert your Windows install disc and boot from it
Press any key at the “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” message
Choose Repair your computer after you select the language, time and keyboard method
Select your Windows installation drive (usually C:) and click Next
Select Command Prompt in the System Recovery Options box
Write bootrec /rebuildbcd and press Enter:
      bootrec /rebuildbcd
      Press Enter
Wait for the program to finish

      Fix #b: Use sfc /scannow

A sfc /scannow (sfc stands for System File Checker) command will scan all Windows protected files to try replace the corrupt ones with the correct versions.

Here are the steps to run sfc:

      Boot from the install CD
Select your language, time and keyboard method
      Click on Repair your computer
Select your operating system when the System Recovery Options box appears, but note down the drive’s letter (e.g. F:, G: etc.). In our example this will be D:.
      Select Command Prompt
Type the following command with your hard drive’s letter:
      sfc /scannow
      Press Enter
When scanning is complete, type exit to quit the Command Prompt:
      exit
      Press Enter
      Restart your computer
OPTION TWO IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ORIGINAL CD

      1. Dont have an install DVD of Windows 7? Then get a free copy of an evaluation disc of Windows 7, from Microsoft.
You need a free Windows Live account for that, but you can created one. A fake name is fine as your real name.

To use the downloaded iso, you have to burn it on a DVD in a special way. Namely as a raw image, not directly as .ISO file.

In Windows (all versions) proceed as follows:

You can use your favorite burning application for this, but its probably a lot easier with the free Windows application ImgBurn.

You can download this fine free-ware application here. Note: take care not to install an extra load of useless rubbish during installation.... You only need the ImgBurn itself.

After the installation of ImgBurn, you can use it now ~ click here to see how to use it.

Note: burn the DVD at low speed, preferably at 4 x. That way you greatly reduce the risk of burning errors.

After the file system corruption, operating system, Windows can not find the file on the partition and access it. This behavior leads to serious file loss situations and needs File Recovery to be resolved.

Is a system of self-healing NTFS file and high performance operating system Microsoft Windows. This is a journaling file system, allowing automatic recovery in case of improper system shutdown or crash the operating system. It provides an expanded security and data management, compared to other Windows system files.

In fact, NTFS (New Technology File System) is designed to be less vulnerable to corruption than its predecessor, FAT16, FAT32, and VFAT file system, but corruption still occur for various reasons.

NTFS can not find corruption due to various problems, such as virus infection, improper system shutdown, corruption in the boot sector, system crashes and more. If the boot sector of NTFS file system is damaged, it may not be able to boot your Windows computer.

How to Create a New Partition in a Windows 7

How to Create a New Partition in a Windows 7

Hi Friends I know most of you want to partition your system drive and to store the files separately from that of OS Drive generally New Volume C:/ thats it just follow the tips given and partition your drives and enjoy.
NOTE: PARTITIONING CANNOT / NEVER BE PERFORMED FOR THE SYSTEM WITH OPERATING SYSTEM Windows 7 Home Basic, EXCEPT THAT ANY OPERATING SYSTEM CAN BE DONE.

Create a New Partition on a Windows 7 Hard Disk.
The Windows 7 Disk Management tool provides a simple interface for managing partitions and volumes.
      • Here’s an easy way to create a new partition on your disk.
      1. Open the Disk Management console by typing diskmgmt.msc at an elevated command prompt.

      2. In Disk Management’s Graphical view, right-click an unallocated or free area, and then click New Simple Volume. This starts the New Simple Volume Wizard. (Note: If you need to create unallocated space, see the Tip Easily Shrink a Volume on a Windows 7 Disk for information on

      how to do this.)

      3. Read the Welcome page and then click Next.

      4. The Specify Volume Size page specifies the minimum and maximum size for the volume in
megabytes and lets you size the volume within these limits. Size the partition in megabytes
using the Simple Volume Size field and then click Next.

      5. On the Assign Drive Letter Or Path page, specify whether you want to assign a drive letter or
path and then click Next. The available options are as follows:

Assign The Following Drive Letter Select an available drive letter in the selection list
provided. By default, Windows 7 selects the lowest available drive letter and excludes reserved
drive letters as well as those assigned to local disks or network drives.
Mount In The Following Empty NTFS Folder Choose this option to mount the partition in
an empty NTFS folder. You must then type the path to an existing folder or click Browse to
search for or create a folder to use.
Do Not Assign A Drive Letter Or Drive Path Choose this option if you want to create the
partition without assigning a drive letter or path. Later, if you want the partition to be available
for storage, you can assign a drive letter or path at that time.

      6. Use the Format Partition page to determine whether and how the volume should be formatted. If you want to format the volume, choose Format This Volume With The Following
Settings, and then configure the following options:

File System Sets the file system type as FAT, FAT32, or NTFS. NTFS is selected by default in
most cases. If you create a file system as FAT or FAT32, you can later convert it to NTFS by
using the Convert utility. You can’t, however, convert NTFS partitions to FAT or FAT32.
Allocation Unit Size Sets the cluster size for the file system. This is the basic unit in which disk
space is allocated. The default allocation unit size is based on the size of the volume and, by
default, is set dynamically prior to formatting. To override this feature, you can set the
allocation unit size to a specific value. If you use many small files, you might want to use a
smaller cluster size, such as 512 or 1,024 bytes. With these settings, small files use less disk
      space.
Volume Label Sets a text label for the partition. This label is the partition’s volume name and
by default is set to New Volume. You can change the volume label at any time by right-clicking
the volume in Windows Explorer, choosing Properties, and typing a new value in the Label field
      provided on the General tab.
Perform A Quick Format Tells Windows 7 to format without checking the partition for errors.
With large partitions, this option can save you a few minutes. However, it’s usually better to
check for errors, which enables Disk Management to mark bad sectors on the disk and lock
      them out.
Enable File And Folder Compression Turns on compression for the disk. Built-in
compression is available only for NTFS. Under NTFS, compression is transparent to users and
compressed files can be accessed just like regular files. If you select this option, files and
directories on this drive are compressed automatically.

      7. Click Next, confirm your options, and then click Finish.

The Windows 7 Disk Management tool will now show the space configured as a new partition.

THATS IT YOUR PARTITION IS COMPLETED. ENJOY WITH THE NEW PARTITIONED DRIVE AND ENJOY STORING IN IT.
