I seem to have found the fix for people having this problem with IE 9.
Here is what needs to be done:
Click on the Settings cogwheel on the top right hand side of the IE 9 screen
Then click on Internet Options
Click on Security Settings
Click on Custom Level button
Go right down all the settings, which is a fair way down the page, to Display Mixed Content.
Click Enable
Apply and OK
This fixed my problems with the Facebook Zynga games.
