How to Resolve After Removing Maximum Memory in MSCONFIG The boot is not as fast before I first enabled it

How to Resolve After Removing Maximum Memory in MSCONFIG The boot is not as fast before I first enabled it

After Removing Maximum Memory in MSCONFIG, The boot is not as fast before I first enabled it...

I have a HP Compaq 6720s...
Windows 7 Professional X 64bit
My specs are :

Intel Core 2 Duo
2X2GB DDR3
1X120GB FUJITSU Hard Drive
Intel X3100 Graphics Media Accelerator
Intel PRO Wireless 3945 ABG

Before I enabled it, it took about 40 ( 5 secs stall on HP logo ) secs to boot, now it takes about 1 min and 30 sec to boot ( stalls for about 30 secs on the HP logo )...
WTF did microsoft do to my PC??? I dont want to restore my PC again because I have a lot of data and that I have already restored Windows 7 Pro alone on this PC 8 times and I learnt somewhere that restoring it too much is bad for a old hard drive like
mine.

Anwsers to the Problem After Removing Maximum Memory in MSCONFIG, The boot is not as fast before I first enabled it...

Download Error Fixer for Free Now

Hi,
What made you to remove maximum memory setting in msconfig?

Let’s try the troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

Method 1: Open the Performance troubleshooter
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Performance-troubleshooter

Method 2:  Boot the computer in safe mode and check whether the issue persists, if the issue does not persist then perform clean boot and check whether the issue resolves.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers.
Startup programs dont run in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.
Please click on the mentioned link below.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 3: To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software
conflicts.

Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality.
When you start the computer as usual, the functionality returns.
However, you may receive the original error message, or you may experience the original
behavior.

Note: Follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the clean boot process.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Refer: Optimize Windows 7 for better performance
Click on the link mentioned and check if it helps.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Optimize-Windows-7-for-better-performance

Hope it helps.

Open Action Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under System and Security, clicking Review your computers status.

Make sure your computer has at least the minimum amount of random access memory (RAM) required to run the program that is displaying the error. Look for the program requirements online or in the packaging information.

HOW TO ROLLBACK WINDOWS 10 AFTER THE OPTION HAS EXPIRED IN 30 DAYS

HOW TO ROLLBACK WINDOWS 10 AFTER THE OPTION HAS EXPIRED IN 30 DAYS

BEST GREENHOUSES FOR GROOVING VEGETABLES
? ? 1(360)241-1624 ?
? ? 360organic.us ?
DURABLE! AFFORDABLE! ALUMINUM + UV POLYCARBONATE

After a long wait, finally Microsoft is rolling out the windows 10 update, and it’s reported to be already running on millions of personal computers (PC) — perhaps, even yours. So far we have written tutorials on how to upgrade to windows 10  and how to downgrade windows 10 to windows 7, in case things go wrong and you encounter application compatibility issues with windows 10 or if you simply don’t like the new operating system from Microsoft. However, as we already stated in our earlier article, if you’re not really sure whether or not you like windows 10  yet, you’d better make your mind soon. With the default rollback option that comes with win 10 upgrade, you only have a month (30 days) to roll back to your previous operating system. What if it has been over 30 days and the realization strikes you that windows 10 is not for you and you’d like to rollback?

How to rollback from windows 10 to windows 7, 8 or 8.1 if windows’ rollback option is not available/working?

Whatever is your reason to downgrade from windows 10 to previous OS version, if you are experiencing issues using the default rollback option in windows 10 or not seeing the rollback option at all, then fret not! We have discovered a free tool, that will help you to uninstall windows 10 and roll back to windows 7 or 8.
Using ease us system go-back to downgrade windows 10

Whether you are having windows 10 rollback issues because you upgraded from a pirated windows 7 to windows 10 or looking for an option to be able to rollback from windows 10 after 30 days of upgrading, “system go-back” can help you achieve an easy and straightforward win 10 downgrade experience. Ease us system go-back has its own rollback features and using it you can easily restore the previous windows operating system, installed applications and games etc, without having to format and reinstall from scratch!

Step 1. Download, install and then open ease us system go-back.

Step 2. Back up your current operating system (along with installed apps, games etc) before you upgrade to windows 10.

Step 3. At any time, you can use go back feature to rollback from windows 10 to the previous version of windows (windows 7, windows 8 or windows 8.1). This can be done even after the initial 30 days limit that Microsoft enforces.

That’s about it; see we told it is easy. Isnt it? So stop worrying about locating the product key of windows 7, 8, or 8.1 (assuming you had purchased a retail copy) and performing a clean install and activating it to be able to downgrade to windows 10. Use the free version of ease us system go-back and downgrade windows 10 like a pro!

How to Resolve Application Hangs in Task Manager Processs list after being closed

How to Resolve Application Hangs in Task Manager Processs list after being closed

Application Hangs in Task Manager Processs list after being closed

I have an application which uses Winsock control for TCP/IP communications.  If I start the application and close it without connecting to a device through Winsock then the application goes away at that time in the Process tab of Task Manager.

If I start the application and then use it to connect to a socket on the server and then disconnect and close the application ...
The Application stays in the Processes list of task manager for about 20 seconds.

I have only seen this happen on SOME Windows 7 64bit machines...
not all.

I wonder if the client is running some type of monitoring program that may be holding this.
Any way to track this down?

Any ideas at all would be helpful

Thanks

How Can You Fix After installing Windows 7 my dvd drive is no where to be found

After installing Windows 7, my dvd-drive is no where to be found?

Im currently using a Dell Studio 1737 (laptop), wich came with Windows Vista Home Premium.
I preformed a clean install of Windows 7 Proffesional and now my computer does not find my optical drive.
Ive tried all of the steps in the guide ">http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060 but there are no upper/lowerfilters, and there is no CD/DVD option in the Device Manager.
Ive also tried downloading updates from Dell for the
drive, however it seems to be up to date.
What to do?

Your welcome.
No problem at all.

Well, we could have a few things here.
Let me ask this, does your Micro/SD card reader ever come up under letter E: ?

Try this:

1.
Turn the computer off completely
2.
Turn on the computer and immediately start pressing F2 (for setup).
If the setup key shows as something different on the screen, obviously hit that key instead

In the BIOS setup, does it show that there is a CD/DVD drives connected?

If the BIOS looks anything like the image above, you will need to go to the Onboard Devices section, I believe, to confirm that the BIOS sees the drive.
This will allow us to determine whether the issue is in the hardware or software realm.

Thanks!

How to rollback Windows 10 after 30 days limit

How to rollback Windows 10 after 30 days limit

DURABLE! AFFORDABLE! ALUMINUM + UV POLYCARBONATE

If you upgraded to Windows 10, from Windows 8.1 or Windows 7, the new operating system allows you to rollback Windows 10 to your previous version, provided you carry out the rollback operation within 30 days. But if you use this trick, you should be able to roll back Windows 10 to your previous version, even after the 30 day limit. Let us see how.

After you upgrade to Windows 10 you may notice two folders on your System or C Drive named $Windows.~BT and $Windows.~WS. These folders are hidden and are created by Windows, during the upgrade process. To see them, open Folder Options, and set Windows to show hidden and operating system files and folders. You will then be able to see them.

These $Windows.~BT, $Windows.~WS and Windows.old folders are required by the system to perform the rollback operation. After 30 days, Windows 10 automatically deletes these folders during Automatic Maintenance. After 30 days, you may not see the option to Rollback in the Settings app or you may receive a message We’re sorry, but you can’t go back.

Rollback Windows 10 after 30 days

What you can do is rename these folders, as soon as you upgrade, and definitely before the 30 day period.

Rename $Windows.~BT to say Bak-$Windows.~BT, $Windows.~WS to Bak-$Windows.~WS and Windows.old folder to Bak- Windows.old.

When you do this, Windows 10 will not be able to delete these folders as you will have changed their names.

If you decide to rollback after 30 days, rename these folders back to their original names and visit Settings > Update & Security > Recovery to Go back to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

If you wish, you may also back  up these 3 folders to an external drive with their original names.

If you do feel the need, you should now be able to rollback even after 30 days. But then you will have to backup your latest data before you carry out the rollback operation.

This should work – but I cannot guarantee that it will, since I have not tried it! Let us know if this works for you or not.
